About This Tour
One of Georgia's most visually spectacular tours. Glide through the emerald-green waters of Martvili Canyon on a traditional wooden boat, explore the otherworldly Prometheus Cave with its million-year-old stalactites, and discover the ancient city of Kutaisi.
Martvili Canyon is one of western Georgia's natural wonders — a dramatic gorge carved by the Abasha River with crystal-clear turquoise pools and cascading waterfalls. Visitors navigate the canyon on flat-bottomed wooden boats, surrounded by lush subtropical vegetation.
The nearby Prometheus Cave (also known as Kumistavi Cave) stretches for over 11 kilometers, making it one of the longest cave systems in the Caucasus. The guided route takes you past breathtaking stalactite and stalagmite formations illuminated by dramatic lighting — including an underground boat ride through cave lakes.
Kutaisi, Georgia's ancient second city, was once the capital of the Colchis Kingdom (the legendary land of the Golden Fleece).
